Set at the time of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, eleven-year-old Clara dreams of becoming a famous opera singer but her family, working hard to make a success of their store, cannot afford voice lessons for her. When the earthquake hits, potentially destroying the family business, will Clara's dream be destroyed along with it?
